Stay updated with in-app notifications for invitations, ownership transfers, and billing events.

RESTK's notification system keeps you informed of important events like organization invitations, ownership transfers, and billing alerts.

Quick Start

Check the Bell Icon

Look for the bell icon in the top bar with an unread count badge

Open Notifications

Click the bell to view your notification panel

Take Action

Click on notifications to view details or execute actions (like accepting invitations)

Mark as Read

Click Mark all as read to clear your notifications


Viewing Notifications

Notification Bell

The bell icon in the top bar shows:

  • Badge count: Number of unread notifications
  • Red indicator: High-priority notifications require attention

Click the bell to open the notification panel.

Notification Panel

The panel displays:

  • All notifications in reverse chronological order (newest first)
  • Filter tabs: All / Read / Unread
  • Infinite scroll: Automatically loads more as you scroll

Notification Types

RESTK supports 8 notification types:

Interacting with Notifications

Actionable Notifications

Some notifications have action buttons:

Invitations:

  • Accept: Join the organization or workspace
  • Reject: Decline the invitation

Ownership Transfer:

  • Accept: Become the new owner
  • Decline: Reject the transfer

Read/Unread Status

Notifications are marked as read when:

  • You click on them to view details
  • You execute an action (accept, reject)
  • You click Mark as read

Filtering Notifications

Filter Tabs

All: Shows all notifications (read and unread) Read: Shows only notifications you've already viewed Unread: Shows only new notifications requiring attention

The active filter is highlighted, and the list updates instantly when you switch.

Mark All as Read

Click Mark all as read at the bottom of the panel to clear all unread notifications at once.


Priority Levels

Notifications are color-coded by priority:

Within each priority level, notifications are sorted by date (newest first).

High-Priority Alerts

High-priority notifications like payment failures and ownership transfers require immediate attention.


Organization Invitations

Receiving an Invitation

When invited to an organization:

  1. You'll see a notification with the organization name and inviter
  2. The notification shows your assigned role
  3. Click to view full invitation details

Accepting Invitations

Open Notification

Click the invitation notification

Review Details

Check the organization name, inviter, and role

Accept

Click Accept to join the organization

You immediately gain access to the organization with the assigned role.

Rejecting Invitations

Open Notification

Click the invitation notification

Reject

Click Reject to decline

The invitation is removed from your notifications.


Best Practices

  1. Check Regularly - Review notifications daily to stay informed
  2. Respond Promptly - Act on invitations and action items quickly
  3. Mark as Read - Clear read notifications to reduce clutter
  4. Don't Ignore High-Priority - Address high-priority notifications first

Troubleshooting

Notifications Not Appearing

Check:

  • Internet connection is active
  • You're signed in
  • Notification bell is visible

Solution:

  • Refresh the app
  • Sign out and back in

Can't Accept Invitation

Check:

  • Invitation hasn't expired (7 days)
  • You're signed in with the invited email
  • Internet connection is active

Solution:

  • Contact the inviter for a new invitation
  • Verify your email address matches
