Restk is a native API development platform that helps developers build, test, and collaborate on APIs. Our software is available free of charge.

2. Your Account

Registration

You may create an account using:

Email and password
Google Sign-In (we only request basic profile information: email and profile data)
GitHub Sign-In (we only request read:user and user:email scopes—no repository access)

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. We use minimal OAuth scopes to protect your privacy.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Restk lawfully and responsibly. You may not:

Use Restk for illegal activities
Attempt to circumvent security measures or encryption
Interfere with other users' access
Reverse engineer or copy our software
Use automated systems to abuse the service

4. Your Data

Ownership

You retain full ownership of your data, including collections, environments, requests, and all API-related content.

Security-First Architecture

Your sensitive data (API keys, tokens, environment variables) is protected with military-grade AES-256 encryption:

Encrypted on your device before transmission
Encrypted during transit over HTTPS
Encrypted at rest on our servers
Encrypted locally on your device

Only the client can encrypt and decrypt your data—our servers only ever see encrypted content.

Data Portability

You can export your data at any time in standard formats.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Software

Restk and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Restk and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You grant us a limited license to store and transmit your encrypted content solely to provide our services. Only the client can decrypt this content.

6. Service Availability

Free to Use

Restk is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future with advance notice, and we're committed to always offering a generous free tier for individual developers.

Continuous Improvement

We're actively developing and improving Restk. As we continue to enhance the platform, features may evolve and occasional issues may occur. We work diligently to resolve any issues quickly and appreciate your feedback as we build together.

While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not currently offer a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA). Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible experience.

7. Limitation of Liability

No Warranty

RESTK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Data Protection

We implement robust AES-256 encryption and industry-standard security measures to protect your data. As a best practice, we recommend maintaining local backups of important collections and regularly exporting critical data.

Limitation of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESTK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of data
Loss of profits
Business interruption
Loss of goodwill

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Restk harmless from claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

10. Termination

By You

You may stop using Restk and delete your account at any time.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use Restk ends. Please export your data before terminating your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of RESTk shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
